ROAD SAFETY DEBATE

On August 19th, 2024, De Aar High School participated in the annual Road Safety Debate.

The De Aar debates saw learners from various schools in the town, vying it out and showcasing their debating skills. De Aar High School participated in both rural and urban categories.

Each school sent three learners per category.

Siyasanga Mdlulwa, Athanathi Msengana, and Faith Pieterse debated under the Urban Category.

While, Luniko Qondani, Avuzwa Hugo, and Lilitha Qayi debated under the Rural Category.

Siyasanga, Athanathi, and Avuzwa were selected to go through to the District round of the debates.

The district round of the competition will be taking place 7 September 2024. We thank the Department of Education and Mr Luvo Manona for organising the competition.

The school further congratulates all learners who participated and all the best to the three De Aar High School learners in their progression to the District round.
