OLD MUTUAL SOUTH AFRICAN MATHEMATICS OLYMPIAD: PROVINCIAL WINNERS 2024

The top provincial performers of the South African Mathematics Olympiad (SAMO), sponsored by Old Mutual and the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants, are acknowledged based on the second round results.

The top three junior and senior performers per province, as well as the best junior and best senior performer per quintiles receive prizes.

Leandro De Carvalho grade 12 learner in 2024 received the following:

Silver medal and certificate for the 1st runner-up in the senior category in the Northern Cape, and a R350 voucher.

A total of 5895 junior learners (Grades 8 and 9) and 10835 senior learners (Grades 10 to 12) participated in the second round of the South African Mathematics Olympiad.

Thus, this is a truly remarkable achievement.
